Welcome back to the Legend Legacy! In the last chapter Odin tried hard to be interesting enough for heir, but fortune wasn't really with him. Loki, on the other hand, started going steady with the handsome Bruno while identifying a potentially very interesting relationship structure and storyline for Gen 4. In the race for heir he has his nose in front, but it's not over yet! Let the shenanigans recommence...

First, though, Loki's young adult card. Because his birthday happened off site it glitched out on giving him his final trait. I had to cheat to fix it, but he rolled Geek - same as his Dad. Not what I would have picked for him, but totally workable :)

Loki kicks things off by inviting a girl over. And not even one of the original girls I identified - he had Miko in his address book and she's SUPER cute, so why not right? No wonder poor Odin can't seem to meet anyone, his social butterfly older brother is totally hogging the town talent.

Loki only just met this girl pretty much but he does his best seduction naked in the water, apparently, because she agrees to skinny dip with him in the fancy family pool.

Of course, he STAYS naked once they get out of the pool. That's, er, rather confident of you, Loki.

Not that Miko minds, given this is how they wrap up their visit. Baby momma number one is locked down!
Miko is neat and a geek, as well as a politician, and a really cute Sim I think.

I know I'm not paying as much attention to the adults of the house at the moment, but Max managed to get himself promoted to Illustrius Illustrator! If I remember right this is level 9 of the Painting career, so just one more promotion to go.

And because the heiress totally can't be one-upped by the spouse, Kali comes home that very same evening with a promotion to Mad Scientist and thus completion of the Scientist career track! You go girl!!
Also, sweet outfit.

One of these people, I forget who, texted Kali after her promotion and asked to go out to a club to celebrate. I thought that it would be fun to go through that whole charade of trying and failing to order drinks again, so out we go! Kali takes along Max and also invites Shiva and Janelle, and Diana and Kathy.

Okay 1. Shiva, that's the wrong side of the bar. And 2. That is an unreasonably good looking bar tender. You know why? Halloween means a sale on the Vampires game pack, so I treated myself! About time I got some blood suckers in this legacy, since the aliens have been so shy.

Hey. Hey, look at all these Sims Kali ordered drinks for. And not wrenches, either, and yet somehow there are only two drinks actually in existence and both are wrenches.
Oh hi Grim. Nice to see you, as always.

Back home later that evening it's the twins young adult birthdays!
Kali: why am I the only one that bakes cakes around here DD:

Thor is up first with a chocolate cake...

And rolls Romantic, like his Dad. Whatever, I'm not worried for him since he's already out of the heir race, though I am starting to wonder if the randomiser I use - which does take into account parent traits - ONLY picks from those traits for certain slots. It might be narrowing down my diversity more than I'd like.

Odin is up next with his fancy blue cake (for a fancy boy)...

And he rolls Lazy, like Thor's earlier trait. Eh, not exciting, but fits happily enough. He remains in the running!

Without further ado, it's time for Thor to fly the nest. He's a fun Sim but his traits and aspiration are the least cohesive, and I ruled him out of the heir race a long time ago. After he's said goodbye to his parents I deduct $10,000 from their funds because he moves into a shared flatting situation - with his cousin Karli! Shiva and Janelle's eldest daughter. I'll also move Jeremiah and Lorna, their cousins (Aron's twin sons with Elsa - Aron is Apollo's son) in with them in my next Interlude post.

The next day it seems like I haven't been to work with Kali in while, so we follow her off for more robot tinkering. She's upgrading the cloning machine so it can clone Sims here, I think.

There's lots of shenanigans today at work - Kali specifically is required to torture the "tourists" with serum testing, the Sim Ray, and various other not very nice things. And yes...tourists! Which means...

They're finally here! It takes getting to the top of the Scientist career track to find the aliens, google has now informed me, if you go this route. Kali should now be able to upgrade the wormhole to travel to Sixam, although the option isn't showing up yet.
FINALLY. Now some future Legend generation can have an alien baby, if I get my way!!

That night, the newly independent Thor phones his twin for a night out at a juice bar. D'awww, all the family feels! How can I say no? So Odin heads off to the Rattlesnake Bar, which is holding a Knight's night.

Hi Grim.

So, one of the people in a suit of armour was called Lilith. Odin chatted to her a bit and invited her around the next day and...ding dong! She's pretty!
Oh, and a vampire. Hmmmmmmm.

You know what, vampires are way more interesting than anything Odin has managed to come up with so far. Why the hell not, right?
Lilith: why the hell not indeed.

Loki: if you think I'm gonna let that little punk beat me to heir on the basis of getting blood-suckered, you're dead wrong. What's one master vampire compared to a gorgeous boyfriend and two future baby mommas?
Penny: what
Loki: nothing

Loki: I look forward to you bearing my children
Penny: WHAT
Loki: nothing

Ophelia's ghost: slut
Penny: EXCUSE ME WHAT
Ophelia: I was talking about my grandson

Everyone is so busy with the two potential heirs getting their flirt on that I totally miss poor Max's birthday. That's the twin's cake in the background, not his, so he got sad. I know I neglect you Max, I love you really.

Loki: your nose got huge, old man.
Max: *gasp*
Loki's mean trait reared its ugly head when Max was already sad. Way to add insult to injury, Loki!

They make up over a game of chess that Loki thrashes Max in. Luckily Max is such a laid back chap, he doesn't hold grudges.

The next day it's the weekend, so while Kali is off doing some collecting and we stumble over this tree thing, I remember there's a secret place and fumble my way into getting her there.

The Sylvan Glade is insanely pretty, so much so that I get Kali to change clothes for the ~aesthetic~, but there's not much to do there. She's not high enough fishing skill for the magic secret fish yet.

Meanwhile, at home, Gavin and Ophelia's ghosts are out and in an argument about something. Maybe it's the breakfast bar. It seems to be the setting for frequent family disputes!

Also, quick aside, Grim has been hanging out at the fishing spot across the road from the family home a lot. The whole death business must be majorly slow, he's here most days.

Loki: you want genetic diversity? I'll give you genetic diversity!

Loki: right, that's Bruno and three different women. If that doesn't win me the heirship nothing will.

Odin is not resting on his laurels though. I'm not kidding when I say I haven't decided between these two, and the race just got a lot more interesting. Odin invited Lilith out to the Romance Festival, where she sizzled outside so they had to start the party indoors.

Party is started in no time at all!

Seriously, they're into each other already.

Once it's late enough for Lilith to go outside they do tear themselves apart to enjoy the festival...

...for a little while, anyway. The tearing apart, not the enjoying. Pretty sure they're enjoying.

Lilith invites Odin back home after their date, and as she walks inside her eyes do a cool glowy purple thing!

Also, she hisses like a cat. Righty-o...

Odin doesn't mind though. Odin is SO into her, he keeps doing a lot of autonomous flirting and canoodling.

And to absolutely no-one's surprise, except maybe Lilith's at how easy this was, Odin is asking to be turned by his hypnotic new lover in record time.

Oo-er.

Okay so it's a mutual blood sucking thing in this universe? Cool cool.

Blissed-out looking Odin with visible fang marks. Nice.

And an extra reward! Lilith and Odin's relationship quickly turns physical. Or, more physical than sucking face...and blood.

Odin, the next morning: I really hope this book tells me how to not die as a vampire oml.
And that's a wrap! Loki is in romantic relationships with half the town, and Odin is in one very intense romantic relationship with a master Vampire and suffering from the change process as we speak. Thing have gotten mighty interesting in the Legend household! Max aged up and Kali won't be far behind, so as we move on with our fourth generation, who will pick up the reins of heirship? We'll have a decision in the next chapter :)
Adios!
