avaricesims Welcome back to the Legend Legacy! In the last chapter Athena distinguished herself as a valuable legacy heiress, achieving some great milestones and celebrating the Legend name just that little bit more. Shiva and Kali also had their minds on the legacy - spouses play very important roles too, after all, as Ophelia and Gavin have shown.
We draw closer to a heir decision in this chapter; what role will the potential Generation 3 spouses play? Read on to find out!
But first, we interrupt your regular programming to bring you a very special announcement.
Athena's butt.
It has gotten rather large.
Now don't get me wrong, I like a curvy Sim. There is nothing wrong with some junk in the trunk and they don't all need to be supermodel slender. But the speed with which Athena's waistline and backside appear to be expanding is cause for concern. Comfortably squishy is okay, dead of a heart attack at forty is not.
So off to the gym! (Though surely a panicked workout once every five years isn't a healthy thing to do either...)
Of course it wouldn't be a Legend gym sesh without the Grim Reaper hovering menacingly nearby. Here for his workout, or hoping Athena will keel over from her exertions and he'll have an easy soul collection to lock in?
Ah. No need to panic, Grim just gotta fit in arm day.
Athena looks absurdly happy for a Sim doing her first run in years, and who currently has sweat visibly pouring off her.
In fact she feels so good she throws in an autonomous boxing session too. Whoa there nelly, you're making the rest of us look bad.
Athena is conscious of the fact that her sisters are getting on in years and may not be around forever, so after the gym she continues on her super productive roll and convenes a Musos gathering at the nightclub. Cassandra Goth, in elder ghost form, asks to join the club.
Uh, sure, why not. The Blue Velvet hosts Dina and Grim on the regular anyway, you'll fit right in.
Ah yes, hello Grim. Must be a dry patch for deaths because he's a right party animal lately.
Artemis having a good old chat with Grim. I'm hoping this is her making friends so she can ask for a favour and stick around, and not her preparing for an imminent passing. I AM NOT READY.
Also, why hello Dina's boobs in the background.
Despite how dead it is in this place (badum-psssh) Athena makes a decent amount in tips and a fab Musos jam sesh is had. I'm glad I got the sisters together again, you never know with this game when death is going to come a-calling. Assuming he can tear himself away from his social life, of course.
Meanwhile, someone Death is probably less interested in (right? Right??) is busy enjoying her youth, starting with a date in a cute tiny park in Windenberg, with beau Max.
These two have so much in common they could just sit and chat for hours.
But they're not lacking on the chemistry front either. Where Shiva and Janelle are flirty and a bit naughty, Max and Kali are just very sweet together.
Which is not to say that Kali can't pull out the moves when required!
I d'aww out loud when they pull out this interaction autonomously, even though it's on the concrete by a playground and is probably super unhygienic.
To me, these guys seem super chill. There's no need to rush into marriage and babies when you can just have fun with your best friend and get a handle on life, whether that involves legacies or not. So Kali asks Max to move in before worrying about proposals or anything serious like that, and he agrees.
Max: soooo, guess I live here now.

A little future-brother-in-law bonding moment. I didn't catch it in the picture but Shiva finished up with his favourite hissing at people trick.
Luckily Kali is on hand to soothe Max's frazzled nerves.
Kali: don't worry, if I win the heirship Shiva will have to move out. And if I don't, we will move out. Either way he won't always be around hissing at you.
Max: thanks goodness.
Kali: a little roll in the hay ought to stop him turning right back around and running a mile, like any sane and sensible Sim would do!
I hadn't made over their room at this point so they used Athena and Ophelia's bed. Whoops.
Speaking of Ophelia, we haven't seen much of her this chapter. But she's still noodling around, working and playing chess to build her logic skill. She kidnapped Gavin for the latest game, by the looks of it.
There's that age-appropriate everyday outfit I mentioned last chapter, too. Looking snazzy in bright green - the high-waisted shorts just weren't doing it for her any longer.
And Athena has also taken up some semi-regular jogging to continue reining in the spread of her buttocks.
I don't know if it's working this time, though? Is the trick to body changes in the Sims 4 having a scary gym trainer yell at you until the fat crawls away in terror? Because Athena slimmed down really fast last time I tried this, and this time she's still very curvy. I think she looks fabulous in her work dress, though!
Anyway, back to Max. Now that he's moved in he needs his traditional makeover. He's a handsome dude with an interesting nose and lips, but the dead slug eyebrows have gotta go. Also the flicky combover thing. You pull it off, Max, but I feel like there could be better hairstyles for you.
And ding dong! Someone is looking FINE.
Max gets a makeover befitting my smart, sensitive prep headcanon and I must say he is pulling off that pink shirt with effortless panache. I love this, it suits him down to the ground. The hair is better, the brows are better...he looks like a man with an astute female in his life - one who has exerted subtle but effective changes on his appearance.
Max shares the Painter Extraordinaire aspiration with Shiva, which I'm really excited about. It means I'll get to play with that aspiration no matter who I choose as heir. His YA trait is also slob, which fits quite nicely with him being from a rich family in my headcanon (he had maids to do everything for him, you see) and also matches quite well with Kali's neat trait! Bafflingly, though, he comes to us in the Bad Guy career track and is already a Super Villian (level 10), and this despite having very little in the way of any skills. What the heck? Is Max the son of the local mafia don and he's inherited some terrifying villain title without having to work for it, like, at all?
It hurts me to have him quit his job when he gets like $900 pay cheques but it totally feels like cheating, so he joins the painter career track as a palette scraper and gets to earn peanuts instead. So basically, what the hell @Sims4 story progression? Marriage and babies is a step too far, but unplayed Sims can become international criminals??
And finally, we finish with a bedroom makeover. And yeah, I half-assed it, but I really just want a new house sooooo baaaad. Kali and Max at least get a double bed and a second easel is purchased since there are now two budding artists in the house.
