The Legend Legacy 2.13: Major Milestones

avaricesims Welcome back to the Legend Legacy! In the last chapter Athena finished the Soulmate aspiration, another major milestone for the legacy. Kali continued to be a nerdy swot but Shiva started living dangerously, perhaps throwing his hat into the ring as an interesting choice for heir. The race continues in this chapter, read on to see where the Legends end up...
Shiva is still making the shirtless moves on Janelle in his room. It's a good thing he only has a single bed or I know exactly where this would be leading.
Do not even think about putting that on facebook young man. Not only are you shirtless, but that angle must be seriously boobalicious for Janelle.
Shiva is not the only teenager in love in the Legend household right now, though. I haven't explored Island Bluffs yet, so it seems a nice place to send Kali for some quality time with Max. After all, they usually hang out with like four other teenagers at homework club. A good start, but if their relationship is to progress...
Kali needs to light things on fire?
Max: well, er, this is. Nice?
Kali: ... I don't know what I expected.
Kali: hmm, yes, better. At least this involves less clothing.
Oh God they are cute together. I headcanon Max as a preppy smart kid from a wealthy family, who has absolutely fulfilled every family expectation to stay on the straight and narrow. He's charming, intelligent, well-mannered and cool in a preppy kind of way. But he's also kind of a dork. He and Kali are so perfect.
First kiss kinda perfect.

Kali. What are you doing in that bush... ... ?
OO-ER. Apparently Kali isn't about to let little bro Shiva have all the fun. I love that teenagers can "mess around", whatever that means...it looks an awful lot like woohooing but whatever they're doing is a whole lot more realistic than the old celibate teenagers angle the Sims always went for.
Kali and Max end their very successful afternoon boyfriend and girlfriend :)
Ophelia: so, did you kids have a nice weekend?
Shiva and Kali: ....yup :D
Ophelia: get up to anything interesting?
Shiva and Kali: absolutely not.
While the kids have very active and deliriously cute love lives happening, Ophelia is focused mostly on work. She needs logic skill for the business career and it's a great chance for some mother-daughter bonding, even if Kali always wins.
Athena and Ophelia are not to be outdone by raging teenage hormones, however, and are still the cutest and most affectionate couple on the block. Their relationship has been perfect from day one and kids, bills, work and saving for a better house aren't getting in the way of it staying strong.
When Shiva isn't being shirtless with Janelle he likes to indulge in a little shirtless painting. His skills are definitely improving, even if he insists on painting this old couple over and over.
Unfortunately he comes down with a case of the tiger stripes! I am too cheap to buy medicine for them when they get sick, so poor Shiva will just have to ride it out with a little help from the tea brewing gadget.
And then....omp I can't believe this has rolled around so quickly! Almost so suddenly I miss baking her a cake, Kali's Young Adult birthday is here. The moment of truth...will she roll a terrible final trait that knocks her out of heirship contention?
Nope! Kali rolls Music Lover, just like Athena, for her final trait. I don't find it particularly interesting since Athena was musical and I don't plan on having a musical Sim for Kali's generation, but it's a workable trait that will be utilised by her enjoying other people's music instead of making her own. Heiress contender status: maintained.
Kali's first order of business as an adult is to form a brand new club, now that she's officially left the homework club behind. I found this really cool "Smarty Pants Science Club" in the gallery which I popped into Newcrest to function as her brand new Geek club HQ. They're called "The Spaceheads" and love all things spacey and sciencey, as befitting Kali's adorable nerd personality. Max, Elsa and Lucas are all offered an invite from their homework club connections, and Aron Garcia gets a spot too, since it'll be nice for Kali to spend some time with her cousin. Janelle is cut, since she's going to be far too busy being a holy terror with Shiva for nerd club.
Kali immediately starts having fun tinkering with all the science junk in the club.
And meets this random fellow in the basement, dicking around on the computers. So she invites him to join, bringing the membership up to five. She needs the club to earn points for more space for new members, now.
Which they obligingly get to work doing. Look at these excellent lil nerds!
This place is, like, proper decked out too. There's this crazy alien portal thing...
And even a rocket waiting to be built! The club gets onto that for the sweet club points, but having access to all this science stuff for free feels a bit cheaty to me, so Kali won't actually be going to space through the club. She'll have to wait and earn her way there through work, as she's now also signed up for the Scientist career track - my very first time playing with the Get to Work careers, as it happens!
(See this is why I need to play legacies, I've had Get To Work forever and I've yet to actually, you know, get to work).
So what's Shiva getting up to while his sister is being the nerdiest nerd to ever nerd? Distinguishing himself as her complete opposite, by the looks of it, with another school interrupting activity with Janelle. This time an early morning dance party at the ancient ruins.
Look, Grim, do you ever have any actual reaping to do? Because you turn up to like 90% of my Sims social outings. And most of their gym outings too. Not that Janelle is bothered.
Hahhahahahahah neither is Shiva, apparently! Casual hip bump with Death, nbd.
Don't worry though, Ophelia and Athena. If you were concerned your youngest might be running wild there's no need to fret, Uncle Apollo is here to keep an eye on teenage shenanigans and brushes with death.
Occasionally Shiva does actually go to school, though. I guess he's protesting his three day school week (since he plays hooky with Janelle so much)?
Actually he was hissing at Kali. Ahhh, good old insane Sims.
And pretty soon Kali's first day of work also rolls around and I'm excited to go along with her. Looking rather snazzy in a baby blue lab coat, I must say.
As the new kid on the block she gets a lot of grunt work her first day. It's cool with me though...I get the feeling this career could help my family collections quite a lot.
And there's plenty of time for cool science, too. Kali tried making some serum thingy and first managed to make it explode and set herself on fire. I discovered Sims can self-extinguish, THANK GOODNESS.
When she eventually succeeds she force feeds an untested science experiment to this poor blonde dude, who has been picked as work victim numero uno. Scientists in the Sims 4 are total cowboys, apparently.
She also gets to dink around with the cool robot machine thing, which I discover she can interact with and is actually building relationship with. LOL.
We name her GLaDOS for obvious reasons and I, for one, welcome our new robot overlord and wait eagerly for the day she takes over this game.
I have to extend the work day to achieve maximum beakerness (thanks to the exploding serum incident) and Kali is pretty exhausted by the end of it, but I am enjoying this whole career thing a lot.
Back home, Athena and Ophelia have taken to playing chess together and Ophelia is also coming along brilliantly in her career. She earns another promotion and chooses the Investor career branch (mainly because it is better paid and we need dolla).
Athena also manages to max her piano skill! Woop woop, that makes her equally as successful as her mother, Gaia, from a legacy standpoint, with one maxed skill and one completed aspiration. Gavin has dropped by, I see, to get to know the grandkids more.
And not to be left out, Gaia is definitely still around and doing the same.
Though her visits involve a lot more of this, for some reason.
Kali: grandma, I'm hungry, please stop haunting the fridge.
Gaia: fine, I'll haunt the bench.
Shiva: grandma pls
Athena gives no fucks about ghostly hijinks and manages a promotion to Instrumental Wonder! Woohoo, money! Also that's level 9, so she gets a snazzy dress and one step closer to our first legacy maxed career.
And it's just milestone after milestone in this chapter, with Athena's elder birthday also rolling around. Awww. I would have liked to throw her and Athena a joint birthday but Athena is about 6 days behind her, so as the heir Athena gets the party. Sorry Ophelia, at least you get a nice cake.

And that brings us to the end of this chapter! Kali and Ophelia enjoyed (?) birthdays, there were all kinds of teenage love trysts, and Athena made some serious legacy progress. I'm proud of her. Ophelia also got an age appropriate makeover but you'll see her new outfits start popping up next chapter, where no doubt more crazy fun will be had. See you then!
