The Legend Legacy 2.10: In Da Club

avaricesims Welcome back to the Legend Legacy! In the last chapter Ophelia made the first real hard yards of progress towards becoming a friend of the world, and Kali grew up from a cute nerdy kid to a BEAUTIFUL nerdy teenager. I luff her. All the luff. I also promised a scoring update, so here it is!

Total: 7 points so far! There are plenty of categories the Legends aren't even on the scoreboard for yet, but it's only Gen 2 right now. Plenty of time to make good progress, although I can already tell there are some points I won't get. Memorialising sims, especially. Ah well!
Kali's first order of business now that she's a teenager is to have her homework club over again. With her club-focused aspiration this is doubly important - I'm really hoping to whiz through this one and select a sciencey aspiration for her next, in case I choose her as heir. Surprisingly, Shiva is the one to join her at the table, even though he's not invited to her club.
The rest of them ARE here, though, and there has been one fellow club member birthday. The other three members are still children, however.
Kali makes good on "talking about Homework Hustlers" with child and teen members alike.
Meanwhile Ophelia has managed a promotion to Regional Manager! As you can see, she is thrilled.
Ophelia: tiny pay rises are bullshit

A teenage birthday in the house means another room rearrangement, too. Kali is shifted into Gaia's old elder retreat room, and although I bust the teen furniture out of retirement (aka the family inventory) with an impending house upgrade I can't be bothered updating the carpet. Sorry Kali.
The science table gets relocated to Shiva's room, which is a better location for it really.
That very same night, Gaia lodges a strong protest against having her bedroom redecorated and given to her granddaughter. She haunts the bathroom and breaks literally everything in there. Note the floating shower.
Reeeeeeaal mature, Gaia.
Athena and Ophelia, happily, are less peeved about Gaia's antics than I am. They autonomously flirt and kiss all the time (which I think is adorbs) and a roll in the hay seems in order. They prove their status of hottest legacy couple evah by managing a 'holy crap best woohoo' moodlet.
Responsibilities beckon eventually, though. Athena is off to fix the bathroom while Kali eats breakfast before school.

After the bathroom is fixed and Gaia returns to her gravestone and stops wreaking havoc, I send Athena down to the park to practice her piano skillz. She's way better at violin but she needs some piano talent for work, so I have to endure the $4 tips instead of the $18 we're accustomed to. Booo.
Around about this time things started getting a little repetitive. Hey, I need to work on my Sims jobs and aspirations! They need a house upgrade sooooo baaaaad.
So more homework club for Kali.
Athena: have you done your homework, Kali? Look at Shiva being responsible and doing his.
Kali: I am the leader of a freaking club for homework, why do you think there's like five random kids over here every day clogging up your dining table?!
And more park piano for Athena. She plink plonks her way to four skill points before she starts sounding like she's at least playing a song instead of random key smashing.

Back home Athena looks marginally less drunk and apeish baking the next birthday cake, which is her own.
Before she actually has her birthday, though, it's BACK TO THE PARK. This girl really is trying to take after Gaia and live in the park, though at least she's not doing it to steal grilled food.
She's doing it to make mad dolla. Hi Aldo! Long time no see! Give me money!!
Spotting Aldo in the park makes me want to catch up with Art, so Athena swings by there on her way home. Art is still super cute and I still have all the love for her. My almost heiress, ruined by RNGesus being a total douchebag.
I looooove you still, Artemis. Athena does too, they have maxed friendship bars. N'awwwww.
And finally, back home for cake and a birthday. Athena is finally catching up to Ophelia, who has been an adult for about six game days. That is probably the length of her two pregnancies, since the game seems to freeze ageing for pregnant Sims.

It looks like no-one is home for Athena's adult birthday, right? WRONG. Kali is home, but she's way to busy rocking out in the living room to celebrate her Mom's big day.
Kali: er, Mom tried to ditch my birthday to cry at the grandparent's graves for the hundreth time.

The next morning Ophelia makes me cackle out loud when she makes a cup of coffee, wanders outside, and pulls this face. She is DONE. So done.
Ophelia: you make me work every day, then I have to "fill in reports" or some crap all evening. What happened to work life balance?
Lol, work life balance ain't for Sims still living in a tiny house not befitting any respectable legacy.
Go flirt with wifey to cheer up.

Kids are at school, Ophelia is at work...you guessed what was next for Athena. Ophelia and the kids have regular hours while Athena works afternoons/nights, so she gets some one on one time with the creator each day.
This random dude keeps usurping her spot as the park entertainer, though! Every day the same dude is sawing away, badly, on the violin I put there for Athena. I figure out I can have Athena "call him over" to make him stop and then quickly nip in and steal the spot back. Teehee.
Much better. Though ugh, I keep forgetting to put the walls up in the park for these photos.
Ooh. Interesting genetics spotted in the park.
Athena: where is your teenaged daughter when you need to pimp her out? Wasting time at school, that's where.
Responsible parenting for the win.
Athena convenes her musical sisters club for this latest performance in the park afternoon. Artemis and Aphrodite both join her for a pretty sweet jam session in the great outdoors.
Artemis still sounds terrible, bless her, but she's trying. I wonder if Get Together adds the ability for non-played Sims to skill, even if just at club gatherings?
Aphrodite getting her groove on, too. She's definitely pulling out some sweet guitar moves I've never seen from her before. Yay for the sister musos! I actually really love the club function, not every Sim needs to be in one but if you're clear about what you want for a particular Sim, they can be really fun.
After Athena's club meeting has to end so she can go to work, we nip back to the home lot to see how the kids are getting on. And of course, there's another club gathering - this time it's Kali'shook up homework club. Where more of the kid members are now teens!

And we finish this chapter with a tired looking Athena, after all her park busking pays off with a promotion to Professional Pianist! Funny, what with her being a mediocre pianist yet excellent violinist, but who am I to question the employment decisions of the Sims? She earned a fancy schmancy piano of her own as a reward which I can't flipping well use because it doesn't fit in the house and I just can't put a antique freaking piano on the lawn.
I am too scarred from the neverending lawn living from earlier in this legacy.
So, the park it is for you for a while yet, Athena! Will this family ever be able to afford a better house? Will Shiva grow up as cute as his sister, or be knocked out of the heir race at the teenage birthday hurdle? Will Kali manage to find herself a boyfriend?
