Winter 1 - Pleasant
Pleasant - Winter 1

Brrr! It looks cold in the city of San Myshuno, where Lilith Pleasant has moved after finishing her distinguished degree in Villainy at Foxbury Institute. Taking her half of the money she and Angela inherited, Lilith has moved into 920 Medina Studios, in the Arts Quarter.

Like Angela, she immediately redecorated, spending nearly all of her money to do so. The apartment is spacious for one person, and as well as the pictured main bedroom, has a large spare room with space for a punching bag, a fancy bathroom, and a functional kitchen - although Lilith isn't much of a cook and intends to make the most of the street food available to her as a city dweller.

Or cereal. Which she cackles evilly over as she eats.

Despite the cold, Lilith starts getting to know her new neighbourhood with a brisk jog through the snow.

On her way back inside she pauses to introduce herself to her new neighbour, Salim Benali. Handsome, single...there's potential there.

But before turning her attention to new prospects, there's an existing love interest for Lilith to drop in on. She heads back to Gibbs Hill in Britechester, not far from her and Angela's student house.

Where her ex-professor, Lara McKinnon, still lives.

Lara is flattered that the student she had an affair with has come back to visit after graduation. Knowing Lilith as she does, she expected the younger woman to disappear out of her life the moment the danger went out of their relationship.

"For old times sake?"
"Sure, Lilith. We can't use my room though. How's the shower?"
"I can work with that."

Lilith meets the reason the bedroom was off limits a short while later. Lana explained that, as she was getting older, she had decided not to wait to meet the right person to have kids with. Donor sperm and a surrogate had led to the creation of Jeremiah, her son. Lilith was happy enough to meet him but knew this would be the last time she saw Lana. They were at different stages in their lives and while that had always been true, those stages weren't compatible any more. Lilith wasn't ready to play step-mum, so she kissed Lara goodbye and went back to the city.

It stays cold and snowy in San Myshuno throughout the winter, but a clear, sunny, crisp day dawns for Geekcon, which Johnny Zest invites her along to.

The two Townie founders are now best friends, and thoroughly enjoy an afternoon of video games.

Lilith is far more of a risk taker than your average Sim, so if anyone was going to play astronaut with absolutely zero training or experience it was going to be her. A successful mission sees her bring back a space rock, and somehow she doesn't die. Those rockets must have an amazing autopilot.

She decides to try out a new gym in Windenburg after finishing up at Geekcon.

A cheeky comment from the guy running next to her ends in a fight (which she wins), a new enemy, and an atrocious reputation. I've never had a Sim with a bad reputation before, and I'm finding this very fun. She starts getting upset phone calls and texts from a bunch of her acquaintances, but her sister and close friends don't seem to mind, and really, the guy deserved it.

More importantly, her bad name around town doesn't seem to hamper her ability to pull. Crossing paths with Salim leads to a very enjoyable getting to know each other in Lilith's bedroom.

The following morning, Lilith heads off to her new job for the first time. Like Angela, she skipped all the boring grunt work and jumped right to being a getaway driver for the local crime syndicate. Obviously, she looks amazing in her gear.

Life moves fast for a single girl in the city. Before you know it, Winterfest rolls around, and Lilith decides to get out of the cold.

Turns out I can't resist sending my Sims to a tropical island to get away from the snow. Johnny and Peaches head out here in their rotation too, coming up after Catarina's.

Sunset in Sulani is breathtaking.

Lilith enjoys an island feast and fire dances her way through the winter celebrations. Lucky thing!

She does get back to the city in time to exchange gifts with Johnny, though.

"How's things with Peaches?"
"Good. We're heading off to Sulani ourselves, for a vacation, actually, and taking Axel with us. Her son, you remember?"
"Of course. Have a great time, it's so nice to get out of the cold."

On nice days, the snow is actually pretty great, though. While wandering around the Arts Quarter Lilith takes the opportunity to introduce herself to Mortimer Goth. No particular reason, she just has the sense he might be useful one day.

Warming up back inside, she's surprised and pleased to receive a call from Loario, a Sim she met while at university. He asks her out on a date, and she agrees.

His taste in bars is interesting - he takes Lilith out to Chestnut Ridge, which she hadn't at all guessed would be his scene. Still, they enjoy root beer floats and catching up about their university days.

Bob Pancakes happens to be there, perhaps winding down after a shift at the restaurant. She takes the opportunity to introduce herself.

After she says goodbye to Loario, Lilith phones her sister and invites her out to something more along the lines of her own preferences - a night club, where she starts her evening with fish and chips for dinner.

She and Angela dance for hours and have an amazing time. I love that Lilith and Angela still seem to want to spend time together. They're very different people, especially with Lilith embracing the Evil trait, but in their case at least, blood seems thicker than water.

Finally, as for all the others, Lilith's winter ends with New Year's. She starts her final day of winter with a round of boxing.

A brief argument with a neighbour.

And wreaking havoc on some forums.

Then she invites Johnny over for a movie, though he has to head back before the countdown - he's popped out of his vacation with Peaches and Axel to be here.

Lilith's first rotation on her own thus comes to an end. Single and loving it in the big city, she managed to fit a lot in this winter. She might be known as a menace around town but for now at least, her crimes aren't holding her back.
