Welcome back to the Legend Legacy! In the last chapter the twins grew up, Gaia fell pregnant again, and our hard work towards a house was undermined by her charitable ways. We're still over halfway to getting this eternal lawn living family a roof over their head, though, so full steam ahead with Chapter 9!

And this is why I want a house so badly. Aphrodite and Artemis are both smelly and miserable. I can get away with a shower every second day as long as they wash their hands and brush their teeth regularly, but the gym showering routine is wearing very thin.

Aphrodite cheers me up by choosing to dance in her towel for fun instead of watching TV, though. Kid sims dance much better than poor awkward adult sims!

I don't have to wait long, either, before spotting the monster under the bed. This turns out to be quite disruptive for the whole family, but it was cool to see.

Aphrodite isn't happy until both her parents AND her sister are dragged out of bed to help her deal with it. Mind you, I'd panic if tentacles creeped out from under my bed, too.

The family head back to bed after the monster scare, although Gaia has a midnight snack first. True to form, she is growing this baby on a healthy diet of yoghurt, cereal, and hotdogs.

And the next morning, there's another monster on the lot! My very first cow plant has grown to maturity and I actually really like it despite being terrified it's going to eat my Sims. I make sure Gaia shoves food down its throat as often as possible.

Naturally, the twins can play with it but have no other interactions, and because of a lack of fun stuff on the lot they play with the cow plant frequently. It worries me. Please don't eat my potential heirs!

With Gaia back in the garden and now earning over $1000 each time she sells her produce, the family are back on track with their house savings. To save even more, I risk letting Gavin fix the fridge himself. All of the Legend's stuff is cheap and breaks often, and while he often fixes the toilet and sink I've avoided the fridge for fear of electrocution. But, with Artemis and Aphrodite already here, and another baby on the way, Gavin is a little more expendable now.
I'm glad that he doesn't die, though - I'm quite fond of old Gavin.

To keep Gaia having fun in between gardening and collecting, she invites Nina to join her at a new museum that has just opened in Newport. Isn't it impressive? It's downloaded from the gallery and I think it's so beautiful. I also appreciate that not having all the stuff packs doesn't seem to overly effect me using really awesome downloads from the gallery.

Nina is excited to hear Gaia is going to be having another baby. I think soon I should probably pause ageing on my legacy Sims and spend a little bit of time hopping around other Sims 4 households in the neighbourhood. Both Nina and Zoe could really do with moving on their lives a bit, and I've heard story progression is anywhere from poor to non-existent in the Sims 4. I'm tempted to look into mods, but story progression mods in the Sims 3 always ended up problematic for my game eventually so I might save it for another legacy. I really want this legacy to run to completion, which means minimising glitch opportunities.

Unfortunately, I guess because Gaia has no creative type traits or whims, she doesn't find the museum all that fun.

She much prefers some more grilled food scrounging with Nina. Something different this time - burgers!

And hey, as a brief aside - anyone recognise this lady? Gaia has nicked grilled food with her before! I can't remember her name but it looks like we have a fellow park and grill enthusiast in the neighbourhood.

By the time Gaia gets home her cow plant is doing this. I didn't know what it meant, but a quick google confirmed my fears - the cow plant wanted to eat people!! Gaia hurriedly threw more meat down it's throat, and just in time too...

Because J came to visit and it would have been tragic if the cow plant ate her best friend!

Gavin is recently home from work when J drops by and is happy to see his old bro. Although J and Gaia are much better friends, Gavin and J still have a friendly relationship.

Of course, despite Gavin's reminder to J of bro status, J and Gaia indulge in a little harmless flirting like always. This time Gavin is there to see it and he is FURIOUS with Gaia for ages and ages. They avoid arguing because I send Gaia or him to community lots instead of letting them interact much, but Gavin spends like two days with facial expressions like this. It's pretty amusing watching him stamp around.
As a side note, Gavin is now quite a lot older than Gaia. Her second pregnancy has frozen her ageing again and she is STILL a young adult. Maybe when she finally ages up she'll stop batting her eyes at J? Mind you, he's already an adult and that hasn't stopped him - he initiates their flirting half the time.

Nevertheless when Gaia goes into labour Gavin attends the hospital with her.
Gaia: oh boy, I know what happens next.
I love how resigned to her fate she looks!

I guess Gavin is still pretty mad at his wife, though, because he spends her entire labour and birth playing computer games. Okay Gavin, that's a bit harsh! She only ever flirts a bit with J, she definitely loves you more.

Poor Gaia endures another session in the terrifying birth machine without having Gavin by her side.

JESUS, MARY AND JOSEPH. Another set of twins.
I know there used to be a glitch where all births resulted in twins, but this has been patched now, right? Right???
Either way, the next legacy birth is going to be at home to see if that makes a difference.
Update: I looked into this and some people seem to still be getting twin/triplet glitches as recently as March 2016 despite the patch. I'll be looking into modding if it continues.
ANYWAY. This time we have a boy and a girl! So at least there's a little variety. The little girl, on the left, is Athena Legend. The boy is Apollo Legend. I won't always be doing alphabetised names but as it happens I wanted Greek gods and goddesses for this generation and there are a lot starting with A, so I figured why not.

Gavin: RIGHT. THAT'S IT. I have four children now and they are NOT living on a lawn anymore. I bought us a house.
That's right! Gavin and Gaia finally saved enough for the cute starter house I've had my eye on for so long. It's small - much too small for six Sims - but they will make do with it. It certainly beats lawn living. I expect to add a couple of room additions as I can afford it and I've already picked a couple of options for their next big upgrade, but they'll need a net worth of over $100,000 for each. Time to get saving!

Here's a quick look inside. As you can see - very small. But they have a bathroom, a kitchen (with an oven!!) and even a little TV. I'm so happy I could cry.

And it seems Gavin has forgiven Gaia her little dalliances with J. She's now given him four beautiful babies so I think she's earned it :)
And that's it for Chapter 9! Thanks for reading. Will the Legend family enjoy total bliss now that they have a roof over their head, or will the cramped quarters drive everyone to breaking point? Find out in the next chapter!
