Welcome back to the Legend Legacy! In the last chapter we farewelled Generation 5 heiress Neith, though she literally immediately started haunting Kui. The family, now consisting of Kui, husband Luca, daughters Juno and Vesta, and sister Whaitiri, along with the new dog Mars, celebrated Winterfest together. Juno became a teenager and started seducing people immediately, and Whaitiri tried to find a girlfriend but was hampered by me forgetting the candidate I'd ear-marked for her was, in fact, her cousin. Just the usual shenanigans, really.

We return to an idyllic family scene, with Juno and Vesta both doing their homework, and Luca enjoying a slice of cake. Luca had recently distinguished himself with a promotion to Fine Art Aficionado, level 8 of the artist career. We're only missing Kui...

She is busy either offending or being offended by a family ghost. As it's Loki, in this case, my money is on being offended.

Later, I sent her back to the Brindleton Bay dog park yet again for more work on her aspiration, though the banana cream pie from earlier had to be supplemented with some grilled fruit first.

Then it's back to the slightly weird task of befriending animals belonging to complete strangers. This poodle was holding out on us, but she finally finished the 'feel the love' task with him.

With a couple of animal friends left to make Kui then heads to a bar in Brindleton Bay, where she finds this suspicious cat conference being held outside.

Of more interest than the cats, inside it is alien night and Leviticus is spotted! Long time no see, Bruno's alien child.

Levi's twin Exodus is also there, flirting with a presumably disguised alien man. I can't remember for sure, but I think I flagged her for no kids. Levi is with Arohirohi, one of Sekhmet's daughters, and they have also had no children. Genesis never married or had kids either, so I think Bruno's alien legacy may end with this generation.

Anyway, back to Kui. She finishes a mad evening of dashing around different locations to pet kitties, befriending Whiskers at the vet clinic (and getting in the way of the vets for hours) and FINALLY finishing Friend to the Animals!

Back home, Whaitiri's occupations are fortunately slightly more normal. As a teen, she still has to do her homework, and credit to her since both her parents are dead. Sad face.

She's also fond of evening jogs to clear the mind.

While cousin Vesta is fond of evening monkey bar sessions to gain motor skill.

Penny's ghost, meanwhile, is being surprisingly helpful. Actually, apart from constantly making decoctions, the ghosts aren't too disruptive. Some of them break the plumbing but others fix it, so by the end of the night most of the bathrooms are generally intact. It is a delicate balance that, for now, is working quite nicely.

More importantly, it's finally Whaitiri's birthday! She achieved an A in school and a couple of positive traits, but the real question is...will she hate children?

No, she's squeamish! I can live with that! Ladies and gentlemen, your Generation 6 heiress, Whaitiri Legend!

Youngest daughter (following a surprise pregnancy) of Neith, this green-haired beauty is also insane and a dance machine, and wants to be Fabulously Wealthy. A worthy heiress indeed.

Here's a quick panel of the Generation 6 kids. I sort of failed here as I forgot to take CAS pictures of Kui and Rehua, but you get the gist. Whaitiri is definitely the best-looking of the three, but I like the variation in their features and think they're all rather gorgeous. Despite Whaitiri being completely stunning I still would have picked Rehua if he didn't hate children, because the only male heir has been Loki, and yes, I'm still bitter about it.

With the decision made, it is time for Kui and her family to finally fly the nest. Whaitiri hugs her niece and bestie Juno, Kui's eldest daughter, goodbye, and the family move to a nice San Myshuno apartment, where Luca can continue his career in the arts, and Kui can pursue her dreams of being a world-renowned chef.

This leaves Whaitiri rattling around alone in an absolutely enormous legacy house, with no one but the ghosts for company. Kui took Mars with her, as he was really her dog. She also took her $20,000, leaving a couple of thousand to Whaitiri's name, with bills in the region of $20,000 to pay. Oh boy. This could be a bit of a flashback - it won't be lawn living, with the giant mansion, but I have a feeling we'll be losing power and water a fair bit.

Whaitiri's first order of business, therefore, is to get a job. Which job, you ask? I considered for ages what would suit her, before deciding the only career that was cool enough for an insane dance machine who wants to be fabulously wealthy but who was also completely broke was the upstanding field of the criminal arts. Doesn't she look fierce?

After work, Whaitiri heads out to a karaoke bar for some fun, and to try and meet some people.

Sehkmet's daughter Aro is there, and they enjoy a quick catch up.

Whaitiri also takes the opportunity to wreak some havoc - she needs some mischief skill for her job, and this random fellow is the unfortunate recipient of her practice.

She does also meet a very pretty girl called Annabelle, who is young, single, and rather interesting...but Whaitiri cannot help thinking about a certain girl she met back in her teenage years...

Kaori! She comes around when Whaitiri calls and seems very happy to have been invited.

They head out shopping together and then chat outside for a while. Whaitiri looks absolutely enthralled by Kaori.

So cute!

Back home, Whaitiri bites the bullet and asks Kaori to move in with her. They have a nice flirtation going, and they're good friends too, so while it might be moving quite quickly Whaitiri is tired of rattling around the big legacy house by herself. Happily, Kaori agrees.

Her first evening in the house she introduces herself to the family. In fortuitous timing, on her first night in the house Whaitiri's Dad Eric is out.

So is Kali, but she's too busy sadly making decoctions to meet Kaori. I disabled the NAP that apparently causes this and yet they continue with this behaviour.

I continue to find stacks of the blasted potions lying around by the grill all the time. I think the ghosts have a taste for this activity now.

Kaori seems to like Whaitiri's - and now her - home. There's everything a Sim could ever want in this place.

She makes the most of the fully stocked bookshelves and the upstairs spa/gym while Whaitiri is at work.

After work, Whaitiri takes her out on a date.

It went very well - they both loved the food, but more importantly they both seem smitten with each other.

Their relationship finally moves past light flirtations among roommates to...something more.

So much so that when they get back home they enjoy some quality time together in the closet. The bed was right there, but I guess they were feeling frisky.

Life seems to be going well for Whaitiri. I was getting pretty worried about the upcoming bills, but she managed a promotion to Felonious Monk, which helped.

Whaitiri: don't mind me, just a master criminal, making eggs.

Kaori also took over responsibility for the garden that had been largely ignored since Eric's death, but which still contained some quite valuable plants. She started selling what was there and planted a few more things, but you can imagine how incensed I was when one night I caught Cadence's ghost harvesting the garden! We get no money for anything when she does this. Cadence, please!

With Cadence's stealing complicating matters, it was high time Kaori also got a job. Being a cheerful and adventurous Sim, the best fit for her was Detective, especially as I still hadn't tried it out. So yes. Whaitiri is a criminal and her girlfriend is a cop. Will there eventually be trouble in paradise?

I find it creepy that one of the cells is full of criminals that forever just stand there doing nothing. Always the same four dudes. Also some serious racial profiling going on here, they're all from Sulani. Awkward.

Kaori seems to like and be quite good at this, though. She zips around her first crime scene taking photos and collecting evidence with pizazz.

Intimidating scantily clad teenagers into giving their fingerprints is a breeze.

And she has no problem with writing up this lady for brazenly beating a guy up in the middle of the street. It's not even neighbourhood brawl day, miss!

She's even quite scary in an interrogation, and with a supposedly guilty Sim (of what I remain unclear) behind bars, she locks in a promotion to Officer by the end of day 2.

Whaitiri also managed another promotion, to minor crime lord, due in no small part to her ancestors becoming the victims of her mischief-making. Seems unwise to What's That Spot Gavin Legend, the founding spouse, Whaitiri.

Safer, perhaps, to head to the Humour and Hijinks festival, where Whaitiri obviously joined the pranksters. She gained a couple more levels of mischief skill and a voodoo doll out of it - sweet!

I think she enjoyed herself, and we scraped together enough for the bills between the winnings, selling the fireworks, and clearing out the family inventory, but with only a few hundred left over the next round won't be easy either.

When not cackling with glee and making other people's lives miserable, though, Whaitiri loves spending time with Kaori. It's drizzling gently when they go for a walk by the river together.

But they're perfectly happy to keep each other warm and kiss in the rain.

When Whaitiri asks Kaori to marry her, Kaori is thrilled and says yes at once!

So we finish this chapter with an engaged heiress hugging her fiance in the rain. Will their conflicting jobs of detective and criminal lead our star-crossed lovers to tragedy? Will they be able to pay the next round of bills without selling everything that isn't nailed down? Will I ever forgive Rehua for betraying me? Tune in next time to find out!
