Chapter 10: Snow White and the Boy Babies
Welcome back to 101 Disney Babies! It's been a hot minute since my last update on this or any challenge, but does anyone play the Sims consistently? Don't we all play obsessively for a bit then put the game down for months on end, without a backward glance, until the bug bites again?

We return to our challenge family pleasantly spending time together in the little park out the back of the library and gym in Willow Creek. Cinderella is living up to teenage stereotypes by simultaneously using a phone and a laptop, like any good modern adolescent. Snow is, as per usual, looking extremely pregnant - her natural state, given the challenge she's spearheading.
Here's a quick update of the current state of things. At this point, Snow has nine children. Simba, Kristoff, Florian and Fergus, the oldest four (all boys), have reached adulthood and moved out and on with their lives (all but Fergus have their own kids now, making four grandchildren for Snow). Cinderella and Mim are teens, Jack and Sally are children, and Remy is a toddler. Snow is pretty heavily pregnant with her tenth child, fathered by Ariel Goth. There, all caught up?

Sally, one of our Father Winter twins, is busy comforting a random sad boy instead of enjoying family time. As you do.
Turns out she might be the reason he's sad...girl needs a shower.

Turns out she might be the reason he's sad...girl needs a shower.

I guess at this point I decided it was time to pay homage to Mim's witchy heritage; our lovely pink-haired sorceress becoming the first of this particular family to head on over to the magical realm. Full disclosure; I played this ages ago, so your guess is as good as mine what I was thinking when I took a lot of these pictures.

Oof. Witchiness might be genetic, but broomstick riding skill is not.

Mim tinkers around with a few witchy activities for a while. Despite having Magical Realm installed for ages, I haven't really played with it properly yet, so it was fun having a go at a few of the features.

Mim even engages in her first duel...and wins! This seems odd for a witch setting foot in the realm for the very first time not an hour ago, so I can only guess this is 100% pretty animations, 0% actual meaningful gameplay. Still, it IS very pretty, and no doubt Mim will be back soon to explore it some more.

Back in the regular world, Sally has her friend from before (God only knows what his name is, sorry) over to the house to get to know him better.

Remy is here too, and still being cute. I think we've seen everyone who lives in the house but Jack now.

Fergus does not in fact live in the house any more, but he dropped by for a visit and read Remy to sleep, which was very cute.

Snow wasn't there to enjoy Fergus' visit unfortunately, because it's time to meet the newest family member! This time, when Snow goes into labour, she meets the child's father at the hospital for the birth for the very first time.
BC: Snow, you decided to call Ariel!
Snow: I certainly did not. He's my doctor. This should be fun.

BC: Oh no...this seems wildly unethical. Ariel, should you be delivering your own child??
Ariel: no...but the only other doctor on today is a ghost...
Snow: figures. Don't yank my heart out, please.
Ariel: *sweating nervously* Your hooha sure looks different...scarier...from this angle...
BC: Sir, you are a doctor. Focus!

Thankfully, baby number 10 makes it into the world unscathed, and we have another boy! With a Goth for a father he needed a villain-inspired name, so we welcomed little Facilier, named for the villain in The Princess and the Frog.

Back home, the kids of this family are very used to new babies appearing in the corner of the lounge, and generally pay little attention to them. Cinderella and Mim, children number five and six, are close friends.

Cinderella's boyfriend, Louis Amato, is also over at the moment. I've just clicked that his last name means he's probably related in some way to Kason Amato, Fergus' father! Totally unavoidable weirdness in a 100 Baby Challenge, that. I love it.

Also unavoidable in a 100 Baby Challenge, lots and lots of birthdays. Remy didn't get too much air time as a toddler, but he managed to get level 3 on most of his skills, and got the Happy Toddler trait.

He also managed to stay cute as a kid! His bright, preppy look is just too delightful. Gosh I hope he doesn't take after his Dad and turn weird in adolescence.

Then it's back to the magical realm with Mim, who seems to be thoroughly enjoying exploring her witchy side, and who pops over fairly regularly now.

She's getting to know a few of the other witches and wizards, and has particularly befriended this very pretty witch whose name I also cannot remember right now.

Now, with Mim enjoying the magical realm so much, and Snow in need of a father for her next child, does it not just make sense that our matriarch might head on over to see how her daughter is going with her magical studies, and check out the realm for herself?

If she should run into a veritable silver fox named Vihaan, who also happens to be a powerful Sage, why, that would just be a bonus.

It might be even more of a bonus if he quickly surprises her with a kiss, clearly aware of his advancing age and not feeling the need to dilly dally. A man after my own heart.

When Snow, in short order, invites him to a pub in Glimmerbrook with a convenient bush outside, he sadly shows up in boring old man clothes instead of his nice silver wizard outfit, but he happily doesn't object to unprotected sex in the great outdoors.

And when Snow is up soon after their tryst with morning sickness, I'm very pleased by our progress!

In fact progress really is the name of the game, because the twins have reached their teenage birthdays. They naturally get the winter cake as children of Father Winter. Jack managed to finish his child aspiration, but Sally did not and neither of them got an A in school, so mediocre points all round!

Well...they're interesting.
Sally is definitely the more attractive of the two, luckily, as she's our current heiress and if it stays that way, while she's not the most beautiful Sim, I can live with it. Jack is...deeply unfortunate looking to be honest! Sally adds glutton to her bro trait, and Jack adds romantic to his perfectionist trait. Sally wants to be a Curator, and Jack a Mansion Baron.

There's a lot of teenagers in the house now. Mim seems a little more interested in the twins now they're in her age bracket.
Happily, lots of teens means lots of babysitters, as Facilier is now a toddler!
The cute, fussy little guy seems to have taken a lot after Snow, though I think Ariel also has dark hair and brown eyes.

Jack is the first to find out what adolescent life in this household really means...potty training, cleaning, repairing commence!

Jack soon proves to be a great big brother in fact, also finding time to play chess with Remy. I can't remember if this is because Remy needed it for his aspiration, or if it was just for mutual fun and socialisation.

Regardless of her older children being around to help, Snow still does her share of the parenting, teaching Facilier how to talk.
Then who should drop by but Father Winter! Another Winterfest has rolled around, and old Clement is back to give gifts to the children - including the ones he didn't sire. Snow is looking very pregnant again in this photo; Vihaan indeed managed to get the job done.

Clement seems to prefer to spend time with safe, unrelated children over the two teenagers he's father to!

Jack doesn't seem all that interested in his Dad anyway, preferring to spend his Winterfest with his siblings.

He doesn't stick around for dinner, but Kristoff has come around to enjoy turkey with the family.

Simba also pops around for a little while, after spending most of the day at his own home with Elena, Bernardo (now a teen) and Jordan (now a toddler).

Speaking of Bernardo, he and Cinderella have gotten to know each other fairly well over the years, and are friendly whenever they bump into each other out and about. Cinderella is making a bit of a name for herself as a singer, and loves hanging out in the lounges and bars of Del Sol Valley.

It's at one such lounge that she finally meets, in person, her father Thorne. Cinderella is delighted when he's excited to see her, greeting her with a warm hug that delights the photographer following him around.

There's not much more time for clubs and bars, at least right now, though. Cinderella reached adulthood with an A at school and a Responsible trait under her belt, managing to lock in a total of 9 points for equal highest score with Fergus. Nice job!

Luckily Louis, her high school boyfriend, is also an adult now, and they remain as smitten with each other as ever.

Cinderella, oldest girl of the family, takes her picture with Snow and heads out into the world. I would have loved her to be heiress, but I hope her and Louis have some kids and she makes a name for herself as a famous singer!

Aw Snow, are you sad because Cinderella has flown the nest?
Snow: yes. But I'm sadder that an infant is currently attempting to crawl out of my nether-regions.

Why yes, this chapter included not one but two babies born! Facilier is a toddler now of course, but we welcome ANOTHER BOY (that's 8 out of 11) to the household.

Baby Barley is named after Barley Lightfoot, a new character from the Pixar film onward. I haven't actually seen it yet, but I wanted another magical character in honour of his father being one of the magical realm Sages. Welcome to the madhouse, Barley!
