Welcome back to the Legend legacy! In the last chapter Eric and Neith got married and conceived their first child, Bruno's alien twins became surprisingly cute toddlers, and the Legends were so cash-strapped the power was turned off for a while. Life goes on with its requisite ups and downs, that much is certain!

Lets kick things off with some toddler adorableness, because we have a ton of unknown genetics at play with these guys, and they might only be cute for this phase of their life. Exodus likes to dance!

And Leviticus pulls amusing faces whenever someone tries to teach him anything. It's really rather precious.

Pregnant Neith jumped right in to getting some practice for her impending offspring by trying her hand out caring for Leviticus. His little face! He looks so happy!

And Eric does the same with Exodus. These little kiddos really are cute at the moment. Maybe I'm just relieved to have a change from red hair, though.

Later, Cadence's ghost invited Neith to the park with her. I kind of love it when the family ghosts break free of the legacy lot for an adventure, so away we went, inviting Sekhmet and her daughters along too for a family reunion with all the current kiddos.

Wrangling toddlers, though - difficult. Levi looks adorable in his little suit and is happy enough, but poor Exodus needs a bath and was not happy to be dragged out for this visit. The red head is
Arohirohi (Aro), Sekhmet's second daughter, and we found out she is indeed a spellcaster like her older sister and father.

She has Sekhmet's brown eyes, though, so the cool pink eyes are not just tied to being a Spellcaster, I guess!

Rohe, meanwhile, was a child by this point, and had opted for a tomboyish haircut but girly outfit. I like her style.

Sekhmet was excited to discover her youngest sister is pregnant. Having kept Sekhmet around for longer means the family have good relationships with both Rohe and Aro, so I hope the cousins will be quite close, like other related Legends (Sloane, Arlene) have been in the past.

Back home and after a bath, Bruno has managed to steel his nerves (understandably quite shaken after four abductions and three births - the aliens ended up with quite a good abduction to child ratio after all) and is being a little more involved in raising the twins than he was with Genesis. He was also promoted to Hall of Famer, the last step of the Athletic career!

Eric was also promoted to Leaf Cutter in the gardening career, but amusingly, wears the scientist eye-piece thing with his gardening outfit! Eric came to the household already at level 10 of the scientist career, despite a complete lack of any relevant skills (this also happened with Max back in Generation 3, who was a super villain somehow). While the money would be very nice it feels like cheating so, as with Max, he had to immediately quit his job and start at the bottom of another career. I guess he didn't want to let go of this snazzy accessory though, and I can't blame him!

Eric is back from work right on time for Neith to go into labour. This is the first eligible Generation 6 child, you guys!

She even gets a semi-competent doctor who extracts a baby instead of her heart, which is a privilege no other legacy Sim in this family has enjoyed thus far.
Welcome to the world, baby Kui! This is literally the only picture I took of you as a baby, so it will have to do. Kui is another girl (sigh) and is named after a "chthonic demigoddess", whatever the hell that means. It's pronounced "coo-ee" and I thought the name was quite cute, even if this is clearly a very minor deity.

Neith heads home from the hospital (via a shift at work, hence the canary yellow suit) and snuggles her child...
Wait. That's a puppy.

Neith has the 'dog-lover' trait, and I DID promise the heiress would get her preferred pet. Cleopatra has moved on with Sekhmet and Darrel, so welcome to the family as well...Maui! Had to use the name somewhere, didn't intend it for a kid even if Neith does manage to have a boy. He's a golden retriever, since they're great family dogs, and is friendly and active.

Neith is also making great career progress. Pictured here fleeing inside due to a thunderstorm, following a promotion to civil servant in the politician branch.

Genesis is also doing her part by paying her way while she stays in the legacy house, with a promotion to Opening Act. This handsome man swung by of his own volition so she popped out to meet him in the hopes of a potential romantic interest, but he's a) married and b) gay, so I don't think she's his type.

I deadass did not take any pictures of Kui as a baby because babies are so boring. I took pictures of the toddlers instead, as toddlers are not boring. The twins are very close and fun to follow around. They're also making better progress on their skills than any of the toddlers of the last generation (how weird is it that Bruno had an alien baby, Genesis, at the tail end of the Generation 5 kids, and has now had his twins at the start of the Generation 6 kids?)

Eric congratulating Neith on her promotion. Adorable couple status: maintained.

And look, Bruno still actually being a Dad! I guess after the first alien baby implanted into you during an abduction, you kind of get used to the idea and manage to care for any subsequent implants a bit better.

Hey Eric, are you celebrating something?
Eric: Kui is about to become a toddler and we have barely any evidence there was even a baby in the house. Seems like a win to me!

Literally, the top of one leg and a small chunk of forehead. That's all you get of Kui's baby stage. I also forgot to take down the alien birth certificates from the twins.

I'm sure Kui will get more airtime now though! She ages up into this wild hair and suited it so well I kept it. Kui takes after Eric SO MUCH, everything from the hair to her mouth to her skintone to her face shape, but she got Neith's green eyes! I am absolutely delighted with her, so much so I even forgive her for being yet another girl. I know we have Levi now, but he's not even eligible, it doesn't count!

Kui rolled Inquisitive for her toddler trait and, like her mother, wears green to match her eyes.

Alright, enough of the toddlers for now. Remember how I said I'm a sucker for my ghosts breaking free of the legacy lot? Loki invited Bruno to Geekcon, so of course away they went!
Loki, why are you embarrassed?
Loki: because you, oh great creator, failed to delete this godawful teenage boy outfit from my options when I was alive, so now I may wear it at any moment in my death and you cannot do anything about it.

I'd never actually checked out the Geekcon before, so when the option for Loki and Bruno to woohoo in a rocketship came up, of course I sent them there immediately. Fortunately this meant Loki changed into a far less embarrassing spacesuit for the occasion.

It didn't even occur to me until about this point that neither Loki nor Bruno have any rocket-related skill. Can Sims die doing this?? What happens if one is already a ghost?! Fortunately they returned to earth unharmed!

Bruno then engaged in a little light hacking after Loki buggered off to who knows where.

Oh hey, you can dress up for this festival? I only had a little play around with Geekcon but I really liked it, especially after seeing Darth Maul mucking around on a computer.

Back home, Kui got sad because one of her grandparents died (it was Eric's father), which seems unfair as she never met him and does not have a sufficiently developed brain for this type of abstract grief. EA need to be consulting psychologists on their toddler stage!

Fortunately Neith is able to cheer her up with a good old game of magical airplanes.

Neith is a wonderful Mum, plenty of autonomous interactions, would not fail at an ISBI. You go Neith.

And despite a lack of pictures, the family haven't actually been ignoring Maui. Puppies are just less interesting than adult dogs, which he is now :)

He already knows sit, what a smart boy.

Then...sister reunion! Minus Hathor, who cannot eat food nor sit in the sun. Sekhmet phoned Neith up and invited her out for lunch after I finally got around to managing worlds and adding a bunch more restaurants and things. Neith invited along Bastet and Amunet too.

It was at a diner-style restaurant/bistro type thing, and boy was it nice to have a change from Chez Llama, nice as that place is for dates. We also discovered that Amunet has gotten married to a nice-looking man called Heath Capps, although no kids yet.

Once back home, Neith needs to bath Maui for like the seventh time. The ghosts break the plumbing, Bruno repairs the plumbing but leaves a pile of junk behind, Maui rolls in the junk and gets filthy. Rinse and repeat. Literally.

Eric gets Kui-bath duty, because every toddler needs at least one bath-time picture.

Unfortunately, I am so preoccupied with Kui and the other cutest members of the household that I completely missed Bruno's elder birthday. Seems par for the course - I missed Loki's too - but this one was more annoying because Neith needs to throw parties for her aspiration. Darn it all!

Inspired by the twins to give the OG alien baby, Genesis, a bit more attention, I sent her off to the city for some busking action. She's getting good with the guitar these days.

And pretty soon she is raking it in! This actually worked better than expected.

She made enough to pay for her own dinner and then some, but not enough for me to splash out on the wild extravagance that is medicine for an illness. Sorry my friend, you will just need to suffer through it and probably give it to every member of the household.

Is it bad that my only emotion in response to my Sims getting abducted is profound relief that its not Bruno this time?

I'm sure Bruno is profoundly relieved too, as he was just about to bone his ghost husband. Still mad about the stupid outfit, Loki?
Loki: yeah. Especially the hat.
Sigh. Me too.

Luckily woohooing necessitates an outfit change and perks him right up. We're back to the new favourite pasttime of the family ghosts: infinite drinks.

Naturally, Bruno is a gentleman and doesn't just bone his ghost husband, but takes him out to dinner too. Lol at Bastet and Trent making out in the background.

We also have more promotions to celebrate! The family coffers are looking healthier, but not healthy enough to free Genesis from the shackles of legacy life yet. She was promoted to Jingle Jammer and celebrated by taking Maui jogging. Neith was promoted to Public Official and Eric to Plant Nerd in the Botanist track around the same time.

Neith should really be congratulated on her career progress because...
Neith: honey, I'm pregnant again!
Eric: but...but...we're broke
Genesis: they're never going to give me my cash and let me move out, are they?

However, our family-oriented Generation 5 spouse is obviously thrilled anyway.

Oof. Please let that severe morning sickness indicate a boy. Please.
And that brings us to the end of another chapter! Will Loki usher Bruno into the afterlife by boning him so often Bruno does that hilarious thing elder Sims can do and literally dies from overexerting himself in the bedroom? Will the twins still be cute when they're not tiny toddlers? Will Genesis ever escape this place to live her own life? Tune in next time to find out!
